Before the Body Code, I Thought All Energy Healing Was Woo-Woo Bullshit
I did not become an Emotion Code, Body Code and Belief Code practitioner because I had always believed in energy healing.
I thought most of it was bullshit.
Anything described as “energetic” immediately made me suspicious. The language often felt vague, the explanations seemed impossible to verify, and some practitioners appeared willing to interpret virtually any experience as proof that their work was effective.
I was not interested in believing something because it sounded profound. I wanted to know what was being identified, how it was being addressed and whether anything actually changed afterwards.
If you feel the same way, I understand. You may be curious about the Body Code while simultaneously wondering whether you are about to spend money on something ridiculous.
That is almost exactly where I started.
I was not naturally drawn to energy healing
Before studying behavioural psychology, I spent close to four years studying structural engineering. My academic background was built around mathematics, physics, human behaviour and systems that could be examined.
Energy healing did not fit comfortably anywhere within that worldview.
I had encountered Reiki and various spiritual practices before discovering the Body Code, but I never felt compelled to try energy healing for myself. Descriptions involving intuition, chakras or simply “feeling” someone’s energy were not enough to convince me it could create substantial change.
I liked crystals, meditation and some of the spiritual practices I had encountered, but I viewed them as supportive rather than transformative. I did not believe that working with energy could address the emotional patterns or physical symptoms affecting someone’s life.
Understanding myself had not changed everything
By the time I discovered the Body Code, I had already spent years working on myself. I had studied psychology, seen psychologists and psychiatrists and coaches, journalled, meditated, practised breathwork, and examined my thoughts from every conceivable angle.
Some of it helped. I understood myself extremely well.
Yet insight did not automatically remove every reaction, emotional pattern or physical symptom. You can know exactly why you behave a certain way and still find yourself doing it. You can recognise that a fear is irrational while your body continues responding as though the threat is real. You can become highly self-aware without feeling fundamentally different.
That discrepancy interested me far more than another explanation of my past ever could.
If conscious understanding was the key to change, why could you identify a pattern perfectly and remain unable to stop it? Why could the logical part of your mind know that you were safe while another part of you reacted as if you were not?
The Body Code proposed an answer I had not seriously considered: the conscious mind may understand the problem while the subconscious body continues carrying what drives it.
The Body Code was different from what I expected
When I first encountered the Body Code, I was not immediately convinced. I was interested because it had a clear system behind it.
The method uses muscle testing to communicate with the subconscious and identify specific imbalances that may be contributing to the issue being addressed. Those imbalances can include trapped emotional energy, subconscious belief systems, energetic misalignments, toxicity, nutritional factors and other areas contained within the Body Code framework.
It did not rely on a practitioner making broad intuitive declarations about your energy. There was a process for narrowing down the information, confirming what had been identified and releasing the relevant imbalance.
The Emotion Code focused on trapped emotions. The Belief Code addressed subconscious belief systems. The Body Code provided a wider framework for investigating other underlying contributors.
I still had questions. A structured method was more appealing to me, but structure alone did not make it true.
Only results could do that.
Fourteen years of back pain gave me an answer I could not ignore
I had lived with chronic lower back pain for around 14 years. Sometimes it was manageable. At other points, it became constant and debilitating enough to affect how I moved through everyday life.
I tried physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic treatment, massage and targeted exercises. Several of those approaches provided genuine relief, but he problem was that the improvement never lasted.
The pain always returned.
I came to view it as something I would need to continually manage. There might be better periods, but I no longer expected it to disappear in any significant or lasting way.
While learning the Emotion Code, Body Code and Belief Code, I began working on myself consistently. After several months, I realised the back pain was almost entirely gone.
It had not merely improved for a week before returning. I was no longer organising my choices around it, booking the next treatment or wondering when it would flare again. I may occasionally notice a slight ache during my period, but the chronic pain that had followed me for well over a decade is no longer part of my normal life.
Nothing else I had tried created that degree of long-term change.
I could have dismissed one unusual result as coincidence. It became much harder to maintain that explanation when other areas of my life began changing too.
My emotional baseline changed as well
I had previously made considerable progress with my mental health. I was not starting from the same emotional state I had been in years earlier, but I still experienced periods where my mood would drop and consume far more of me than I wanted it to.
Consistent Body Code work changed the baseline underneath those fluctuations. The lows became less frequent, far less intense and easier to move through. Eventually, they stopped defining whole stretches of my life.
I also noticed changes in areas I had once treated as personality traits. I had been chronically rushed, anxious about money and prone to procrastinating in my business. I could analyse the reasons, create better routines and force myself into action, yet everything still felt unnecessarily difficult.
Much of that internal resistance is no longer there. I can work for hours when I want to, follow an idea without battling myself and make financial decisions without the old anxiety running underneath them.
My life did not change because I became more disciplined at controlling every thought. The reactions themselves lost their force.
I did not suddenly decide to believe in the Body Code
I never sat down and persuaded myself that energy healing was real. There was no dramatic spiritual conversion in which I abandoned logic and chose faith instead.
My opinion changed because I simply saw the evidence available within my own life.
Then I began seeing results with clients whose experiences had nothing to do with my expectations. Some already believed in energy healing, others knew almost nothing about it, and several were openly sceptical. Their level of belief did not reliably predict what happened.
I saw longstanding reactions disappear, physical symptoms reduce, sleep improve and compulsive behaviours lose the emotional pull that had sustained them. Clients reported changes in situations where mindset work, conventional support or sheer determination had not been enough.
No single result proves every claim made about energy healing. However, repeatedly witnessing specific changes made it impossible for me to honestly place the Body Code in the same category as vague spiritual reassurance.
Ignoring those outcomes simply because I could not fully explain the mechanism would not have made me more rational. It would have meant protecting my existing opinion from contradictory information.
Does science fully explain energy healing?
No. The Body Code has not been established by mainstream scientific research as a medical treatment, and I would never present it as a replacement for appropriate healthcare.
There are scientific fields exploring the relationship between emotional stress, subconscious processes, nervous system responses, physiological function and the body’s electromagnetic activity. Those areas may provide useful context, but they do not currently offer a complete scientific explanation for every aspect of the Body Code.
You do not need to pretend the research is more conclusive than it is, but you also do not need to assume that anything not yet fully explained is automatically impossible. Scientific knowledge develops when observations raise questions that existing models cannot adequately answer.
My trust in this work is based on what I have repeatedly experienced and witnessed, not on pretending that every mechanism has already been mapped.
You do not need to believe in energy healing
If you are sceptical, you are not a difficult client. You do not need to suppress your questions, adopt spiritual language or convince yourself that the Body Code will work.
Your belief is not what I muscle test.
During a remote Body Code session, I work with your subconscious to identify the imbalances most relevant to the issue you have brought forward. I complete the work privately and record the findings in a detailed written report, which you receive by email once the session is finished. There are no calls, appointments or long conversations about your past.
You can remain curious without becoming unquestioning. You can judge the experience by what changes rather than how convincingly someone describes energy.
I once thought energy healing was bullshit. Now I practise it professionally because dismissing the results would require more denial than investigating them ever did.
If you are open to finding out what may be sitting beneath an issue that has resisted everything else, you can explore remote Body Code sessions here.
