What Happens in a Body Code Session? (Step-by-Step Guide)
One of the most common questions I get is:
“how does a Body Code session actually work if it’s done remotely… and by email?”
It’s a fair question.
Most people are used to sessions that involve talking things through, being on a call, or physically being in the same space.
This works differently.
A Body Code session doesn’t rely on conversation or conscious processing. Instead, it works by communicating directly with your subconscious mind - which means it can be done just as effectively without a live session.
There’s no appointment, no need to explain your whole story, and nothing you need to prepare.
Your session is guided entirely by your subconscious, and once it’s complete, you receive a full personalised report outlining exactly what was found and released.
How a Body Code Session Works (big picture)
A Body Code session works by communicating directly with your subconscious mind to identify and release underlying imbalances in the body.
These can include trapped emotions, subconscious beliefs, energetic imbalances, and other factors that may be contributing to what you’re experiencing.
Because this work is based on the body’s energy system, it doesn’t rely on physical proximity or being in the same room.
When I connect to you during your session, your subconscious leads the process.
I use muscle testing on my own body to receive clear yes/no responses - but those responses are coming from your system, not mine.
We’re already interacting with things that aren’t physically visible or contained to one place every day - and the body’s energy system operates in a similar way.
This is why a session can be done just as effectively remotely, without needing to be on a call or physically present.

What Happens During a Body Code Session (Step-by-Step)
Step 1 - Setting the intention
Every session begins with a clear intention.
This might be something specific that you tell me, like anxiety, physical pain, or a recurring relationship pattern - or something more general, like feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
You don’t need to have it perfectly figured out.
In fact, most of the time, what’s actually going on sits deeper than what we’re consciously aware of - and that’s exactly what the session is designed to access.
Step 2 - Connecting with your subconscious
From there, I connect with your subconscious mind.
This is done through focused intention and muscle testing, which allows me to ask clear yes/no questions and be guided directly to what your body is ready to release.
Because the subconscious mind isn’t limited in the same way as conscious communication, it can be accessed in this way without needing you to be physically present.
There’s no guessing involved, and nothing needs to be forced - the process is guided step-by-step.
Step 3 - Identifying what’s underneath
Using the Body Code system, we identify the underlying imbalances contributing to the issue.
This can include things like:
trapped emotions
structural misalignments
toxin stressors
circuitry imbalances
What comes up is often not what you expect - but it’s exactly what your body is ready to shift.
Step 4 - Releasing the imbalances
Once identified, these imbalances are released energetically using magnetic energy along the governing meridian - the main energy line of the body.
This is typically very gentle.
There’s no need to relive past experiences or talk through everything that’s happened.
The body simply lets go of what it’s ready to release.
Step 5 - After the session
Once the session is complete, you’ll receive a detailed, personalised report outlining everything that was identified and released.
This allows you to clearly see what was happening beneath the surface - without needing to consciously go through it during the session.
From there, your body begins processing and integrating the changes.
Some people experience minor symptoms as things are processed, but for most people, this feels very natural.
You don’t need to actively “do” anything - the work has already been done.
Some people notice shifts straight away, while others experience changes over the following days and weeks.
What a Body Code Session Feels Like
One of the biggest concerns people have is whether a session will feel intense or overwhelming - especially when we’re talking about things like emotions or subconscious patterns.
In most cases, it’s the opposite.
Because the process is guided by your subconscious, things tend to release in a way that feels natural rather than forced.
There’s no need to relive past experiences or consciously process everything that’s come up in your life.
While emotions can sometimes arise, they’re typically much lighter and more manageable than in traditional approaches that require you to revisit or unpack everything.
For many people, the experience is actually quite subtle.
You don’t need to “feel everything” for it to be working.
You might not feel much during the session itself, but notice shifts afterwards - whether that’s feeling lighter, less reactive, clearer, or simply different in a way that’s hard to explain at first.
Some people notice changes quickly, while for others, things shift more gradually over the following days and weeks.
Both are completely normal.
The key difference is that nothing needs to be forced. The body releases what it’s ready to release, in its own time.
What This Looks Like in Practice
For example, I’ve worked with clients who came in feeling stuck in patterns they hadn’t been able to shift for years.
In one case, a client had struggled with an alcohol habit for over 30 years - something they hadn’t been able to break despite trying different approaches.
After working at the subconscious level, that pull simply wasn’t there anymore. The thoughts around it became distant, rather than intrusive or gripping.
